The 2000 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Pierrot, a blend of 60% Grenache and the rest Carignan, Mourvedre, and Syrah, had not been bottled at the time of my visit, and appeared rustic and hard. If the fruit becomes more dominant, and the tannin less intrusive, it should develop into a mid-eighty point or higher wine.
