From Rasteau, Lesec has a 2001 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Rasteau Vieilles Vignes blanc (the first white Rasteau I have ever tasted). A blend of 50% Viognier and 50% Marsanne and Roussanne, this medium-bodied old vine cuvee exhibits copious honeysuckle notes. The fact that it was aged in 50% new oak surprised me because there is little noticeable wood. It should drink well for 1-2 years.
