The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon District Collection St. Helena comes from a site on the western side of the AVA, with dry, gravelly soils. Yet the wine is full-bodied, plump and juicy, marked by dark chocolate and ripe cherries. Richly concentrated, it's long and velvety on the finish, another fine effort produced in limited quantities.

A pretty, polished Cabernet for drinking now. Easily earns a high score for sheer luxurious richness, with softly refined tannins housing sweet flavors of raspberries, red currants, cinnamon and sandalwood.——S.H.(8/1/2011)—— 91
