Made with early-harvest Sangiovese, the Riecine 2019 Rosé Palmina reveals a pink-copperish color that immediately evokes the versatile Tuscan grape. Packaged in an elegant bottle with a white wax capsule, the wine is luminous and bright. The bouquet is delicate and fine with sour cherry, bitter almond, peach, citrus and pink grapefruit. There is a floral component as well, with lavender and wild violet. This is a terrific rosé from Tuscany to pair with a shrimp cocktail appetizer.

The 2017 Rosé Palmina is a pure expression of Sangiovese that was harvested early (on August 28th) in order to preserve the crisp freshness of the wine. The grapes were fermented at low temperatures in cement vats. This is a tonic and sharp Rosato that keeps the palate refreshed and revived. Pretty aromas of white cherry, cassis and cranberry rise to the top.
