Readers will enjoy the outstanding 1999 Tocai Friuliano, which was barrel-fermented and aged on its lees. It exhibits explosive, honeyed fruit, crisp acidity, medium body, and an intense, long finish with plenty of pear, orange, and buttery fruit. It should drink well for several years.
