The 2005 Raven’s Syrah contains 8% Viognier. This contributes an alluring floral note along with meat, game, and blueberry. It is also richer, riper, and lengthier than its less expensive sibling. Michael and Laura Laurent Mrachek began as fruit growers. They saw wine grapes as a way to diversify, all of which led to a winery on the Wahluke Slope near the Columbia River.
