Shows some great flavors of chocolate-infused cassis and plum sauce, with a smoky, cedary edge, and the finish is thoroughly dry despite the fruity richness. There’s a slight rusticity to the tannins that suggests moderate ageability. Best 2011 or so.——S.H.(6/1/2009)—— 87

Similar to the winery’s ’04 Cabernet, released a year ago, but a bit more complex, this Bordeaux-style blend is rich in very ripe black currant, chocolate and cedar flavors. It’s also thick in fuzzy tannins, suggesting ageability. Good now, with decanting, or through 2012.——S.H.(11/1/2008)—— 91
