The 2002 Pinot Noir is the product of a minimalist approach in the cellar and reveals the carnal side of pinot with clarity and satisfying juiciness at only 12.5% alcohol. Beef marrow and subtle notes of raw red fruits and ginger spice dominate the nose and mouth, and there is a sense of doughy substantiality even though, technically speaking, this wine is light. Tel. Sure, it’s a light hue of red, but one whiff tells you it’s not going to lack for flavor.
