A certified organic wine, the Sorrentino Vini 2021 Vesuvio Lacryma Christi Rosato Bio is a pure expression of Piedirosso from sandy volcanic soils and an easy winemaking process that sees only stainless steel. The wine reveals a light pink color with copper highlights, and the aromas include hints of white flower, acacia, zesty citrus and canned peach. Taking that last descriptor one step forward, you even get a metallic hint of tin can. Some 20,000 bottles were produced.

This is another fun discovery for me and a great value for you. An organic Piedirosso rosé, the Sorrentino Vesuvio 2019 Vesuvio Lacryma Christi Rosato Bio has a pretty, light rose color with copper highlights. The clean and intact bouquet shows pressed violet and lavender bud, with some apricot and apple. There is a drying note of mineral on the close in an easy, no-fuss finish. The wine finishes short and dry, but correctly. This was a production of 20,000 bottles.
