An intriguing blend of 60% Syrah, 20% Petite Sirah, 15% Grenache, 3% Sangiovese and 2% Touriga Nacional, the 2019 Wilderness is almost opaque in the glass with bright aromas of smoked plums, spiced cherries and dusty black raspberries. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is ripe with a fine mineral tension and concludes with a juicy and succulent finish, delivering well for the price.

A blend of 55% Syrah, 20% Petite Sirah, 15% Grenache, 5% Sangiovese and 5% Touriga Nacional, the 2017 Wilderness has a dark-fruited core and slightly generic nose of faint floral and spicy notes with a bit of tartness. The wine is medium-bodied on the palate, with tight tannins and fruit that becomes more tart. The finish is fleeting yet manages to be in balance. 1,326 cases made.

A keenly priced red blend that's bottled under screwcap, the 2015 Wilderness exhibits a sweet bouquet of red-black fruits, cigar tobacco, pencil lead and tapenade. Medium-bodied, rich and complex, its fine-grained tannins frame a succulent core of sweet fruit that's complemented by plenty of savory nuance. It's more than impressive for the price. The blend is 62% Syrah, 14% Tempranillo, 11% Grenache, 7% Petite Sirah, 5% Souzao and 1% Touriga Nacional.
