A kitchen-sink blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, 9% Syrah, 7% Sangiovese, 4% Tempranillo, 3% Petit Verdot, 2% Grenache and 1% each Mourvèdre, Counoise and Nebbiolo, the 2019 Firehouse Red is rich, ripe and round with primary red fruits, dark plum, cherry and hints of spice and potpourri. Full-bodied, the palate compresses to show an approachable wine in youth with a firm tannic edge. Enjoy over the next year or so with barbecue.

Dark ruby colored at the core, the 2017 Firehouse Red begins plump and juicy, with a red and black-fruited nose displaying aromas of juicy plum, dark cherry and blackberry tones, with hints of oak expressions and pencil shavings. Medium-bodied, the wine is lifted and expressive across the palate, offering a balanced structure across the mid-palate and ending with flavors of spiced plum skin, dusty lavender and elements of bitter dark chocolate on the lingering finish. It shows a good value at this quality/price ratio.

The 2015 Firehouse Red is a kitchen sink blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Merlot, 17% Syrah and 14% Cabernet Franc, with the balance Counoise, Petit Verdot, Sangiovese, Grenache and Mourvèdre. I always love this little gem, and it delivers tons of sweet red and black fruit in 2015. Medium-bodied, supple, rounded and mouth-filling, buy a few bottles and drink it over the coming couple of years.

Always a terrific value in just about every vintage, the 2014 Firehouse Red (29% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Sauvignon, 22% Syrah and the rest an assortment of varieties) gives up charming notes of black cherries, blackberries, wild herbs, licorice and vanilla in a plump, medium-bodied, thoroughly enjoyable package. Drink it over the coming 2-4 years.

A smoking value, the 2013 Firehouse Red, a kitchen-sink blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot, offers lots of dark fruits, toasty oak and spice in a high-quality, medium to full-bodied, ripe, rounded and straight-up delicious style.
