Moving up to the Angoris lines (all these wines are closed with cork instead of screw-cap), the 2012 Collio Pinot Grigio (with fruit sourced from the Podere Ronco Antico vineyard in Dolegna del Collio) shows high intensity and aromatic brightness. It is executed in a slightly -ramato- style with extended contact with the gray skins of the Pinot Grigio variety that give the wine a slightly coppery appearance. The effect, in this case, is very subtle and delicate. Drying mineral notes of brimstone and talc powder appear on the bouquet as do fuller aromas of stone fruit and honeydew melon. Anticipated maturity: 2014-2015.
