Made with 2% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2019 Cabernet Franc offers a classic and succulent nose of red fruits with a delightful floral lift and hints of sage and pepper blossoms in the glass. Medium to full-bodied, the wine is focused, floral and softly dusty, with a sweet and savory expression that holds the soft greenness in check, then lingers with a focused and precise finish. If you enjoy Cabernet Franc with classic green notes, look no further! If you like your Cabernet Franc sans green bell pepper, keep moving. The wine spent 20 months in 40% new French oak. Just over 6,000 bottles were produced. Bravo, this is delicious.

The 2018 Cabernet Franc comes from the Blue Mountain vineyard and displays that perfect balance between ripe and juicy with that subtle undercurrent of green herbaceous character that perfectly captures the essence of the variety’s profile. Medium to full-bodied, the palate offers a juicy core of dark red fruit, which floats atop elements of roasted red pepper, seductive red and purple flowers and sweet baking spices. It concludes with precision and a seductively juicy essence on the long, winding and evolving finish. The wine rested for 20 months in 40% new French oak barrels. Bravo! This may be one of the best Cabernet Francs in all of Washington State. Only 6,200 bottles were filled.

The 2016 Cabernet Franc has a soft herbal edge on the nose that is typical of Cabernet Franc, with a juicy and mineral base and mild red pepper. Medium-bodied on the palate, the wine is expressive and clean, with a red-fruited core of cherries and black raspberries, moving to show a floral focus and a mineral edge with pleasing hints of soft herbs. The finish is long, thoughtful and delicate. Wow, this is impressive juice. Only 706 cases made for the world.

The 2012 Cabernet Franc (100% Cab Franc aged 22 months in 40% new French oak) is a big, rich, beautifully layered and textured red that fills the mouth with fruit, yet always stays fresh, perfectly balanced and even elegant. Wild herbs, black currants, dark chocolate and hints of graphite all emerge from the glass and while already drinking great, it has the concentration and underlying tannic grip to keep for 10-15 years.

Tasted as a barrel sample, the 2011 Cabernet Franc Estate comes from the Blue Mountain Vineyard, which lies in the northern, cooler part of the Walla Walla AVA at an altitude of around 1,200 feet. A 100% Cabernet Franc, it possesses a fresh and perfumed bouquet of black cherries, violets, wild herbs and underbrush (classic Cabernet Franc) as well as a sweetly fruited, medium to full-bodied palate that has good acidity and a focused, clean texture. Beautifully made, it should drink reasonably well on release and have upwards of a decade or total longevity. Drink 2015-2021.
