The 2007 Pinot Noir Artist Series No.1 is dark ruby-colored with a nose of toast, spice box, cherry, and raspberry. Slightly hollow on the palate, the wine is firm and tannic upon entry and finishes a bit short. The flavors are attractive and there is ample fruit so perhaps another 2-3 years of cellaring may bring this wine into balance. Trisaetum is owned by James and Andrea Frey with James and Greg McClellan serving as winemakers with consultation from Josh Bergstrom.
