The multi-vintage Bruno’s Blend VI, sourced from 7 vineyards. It is a blend of 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, 13% Cabernet Franc, and 10% Merlot with 40% of the wine aged in French oak. Deep cherry red in color, it delivers a fragrant nose of cassis, blueberry, smoke, and game. Easy going on the palate with ample spicy fruit and a bit of structure, it will offer pleasurable drinking over the next 3 years. Owner/winemaker Justin Wylie’s story, while not quite Horatio Alger-like, involves purchasing a wheat field and within a decade building it into a thriving vineyard and winery.
