Aged in 25% new oak and made with 20% whole clusters, the medium to full-bodied 2020 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde is a reasonably fruit-forward effort, with vibrant blackberry fruit, a touch of vanilla and some dusty tannins on the finish.

Hints of garrigue and smoke accent dark berries on the nose of the 2018 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde. It's full-bodied and ripe, with mouthwatering acids and some dusty tannins on the finish.

Vidal Fleury's 2017 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde features scents of grilled meat on the nose, adding a deep, savory note to the cherry and blueberry fruit. It's silky and medium-bodied on the palate, displaying plenty of early-drinking harmony and appeal and finishing with a soft wash of dusty tannins, dark, plummy notes and a touch of cedar.

Vidal Fleury's 2016 Cote Rotie Brune et Blonde is a solid effort. Aromas of sandalwood and red berries lead into a medium to full-bodied wine with a creamy, supple mid-palate and a long, silky finish featuring hints of bay leaf and anise.
