The 2008 Ribolla Gialla offers up a plump, juicy core of fruit. Most of the wine’s appeal is upfront, as the intensity trails off rather quickly on the mid-palate. Anticipated maturity: 2009-2011. Gianni Menotti makes some of the richest, most fully-flavored wines readers will come across in Friuli.
