The 2008 Encanto spent 9 months in French and American oak. It sports a bouquet of scorched earth, pencil lead, mineral, blueberry, and blackberry. With a bit of structure on the palate, it is likely to evolve for 1-2 years and should be at its best from 2012 to 2020. Balanced and lengthy on the palate, it delivers plenty of bang for the buck.
Both offerings from Vinos de Arganza are 100% Mencia sourced from 40-60 year old vines.
