The 2021 Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett halbtrocken is coolish, pure and flinty on the light yet quite intense nose. From the mid-slope of the cru and entirely vinified in stainless steel, this is a lush, piquant and saline, very mineral Kabinett with a slightly creamy texture and a fruit-intense finish. 10.5% stated alcohol. Screw cap. Tasted in July 2022.

The 2019 Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett halbtrocken is clear yet intense and bright on the coolish, precise and elegant nose. Round, lush and piquant on the palate, this is a dense and textured Kabinett with good concentration and a crystalline mineral structure that leads to stimulating acidity. Still baby-young and reductive but a gorgeous wine. 11.5% alcohol. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

The 2018 Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett halbtrocken displays a bright yet intense bouquet with finely weathered and flinty slate and dried white fruit aromas. Juicy, piquant and salty on the palate, this is a round and charming yet intense, persistently crystalline and elegant Kabinett with a long and harmonious but tensioned, slightly bitter finish. Excellent. Tasted at the domain in September 2020.

The 2017 Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett Halbtrocken is bright, clear, fresh and inviting on the pretty intense, well-concentrated and subtly mineral nose. Lush and fresh on the palate, this light, charmingly round and fruity Kabinett has delicate salinity and first-rate character. This is a gorgeous wine for glou-glou... Authentic Mosel Kabinett at its best! So stimulatingly fresh and with a lean, crystalline and mouthwatering finish. Tasted in March 2019.

The 2016 Zeltinger Himmelreich Riesling Kabinett Halbtrocken (AP 42 17) has a lovely clear and flinty-scented white stone fruit aroma with refreshing slate notes. Clear, lush and intense on the palate, this is a light but pretty complex and remarkably well-defined Kabinett in the off-dry style. Very digestible and with stimulating grip and salinity. 10.5% alcohol.
