This is pure, young vine Mourvedre, sharp, tart and juicy, but without the concentration and power of older fruit. What it does show is purity and youthful tang, it’s tasty and juicy and full of tangy berry flavor, which has good focus—floral and white pepper—and does not quickly fade away. The winery says this is the first time anyone has bottled this varietal in Washington; they get no argument from me. It's young, grapey, effusive and loose-knit, and not for everyone.
