Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting, Bachelet's 2014 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Sous le Puits has a crisp, mineral-driven, gunflint-scented bouquet that opens beautifully in the glass. The palate is very saline on the entry with a potent sous lemon element that drives this along. This is an uncompromising Puligny-Montrachet although that is something I like, and the tangy, seaweed finish is a delight. This has really evolved into a sublime white Burgundy from one of its lesser-known vineyards. It comes highly recommended.
