From several parcels, including two premier declassified by the domaine, the 2016 Chambolle-Musigny Village includes 70% whole bunch fruit. It has a slightly ferrous, dried blood-tinged bouquet that blossoms nicely in the glass with fine purity. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy black fruit, good substance here with a fine bead of acidity, possessing the rondeur one expects from a village cru Chambolle. I appreciate the length here, and it should drink well over the next decade.
