The 2006 Black Tongue Syrah was sourced predominantly from the Dineen Vineyard and aged in 30% new oak. A glass-coating opaque purple color, it offers up an earthy, mushroom, and underbrush aromatic array along with a hint of bacon and blueberry. Succulent on the palate, this fleshy, ripe wine can be enjoyed now with decanting but will profit from 2-3 years of additional cellaring. Located in Woodinville (along with 41 other wineries), Tim Stevens’ first vintage was 2001 with current production at 2500 cases.
