The ruby-colored Beaune Reversees offers strawberry and raspberry aromas followed by a silky-textured, light-to-medium-bodied, cherry and sweet strawberry-filled, and easy-going character. Its tannins are supple and soft so it will make lovely quaffing wine over the next 3 years.
Yields were high in 1996, on average 45 hectoliters/hectare or more according to Bouley. The wines are fined and filtered (though exceptions are made for the premier crus that don't "need" filtration). My impression is that these wines should be drunk early.
