Initial releases from this winery have all been interesting and well-made wines. Fife's dark plum-colored 1994 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve displays muted aromatics that include vague notions of ripe plums and blackberries. Sweet oak as well as excruciatingly high tannin levels (which give cause for concern) are both apparent in the flavors. If the tannin melts away and the fruit holds, this wine should be good. Give it 2-3 years of bottle age, and drink it over the following decade. Tel. (707) 963-1534; Fax (707) 963-8620
