The NV Brut Reserve is a pretty, mid-weight offering redolent of pears, flowers and chalkiness. Made in an accessible, easygoing style, the wine shows lovely balance and poise, with a long, clean finish. The Brut Reserve is 45% Pinot Meunier, 35% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay. This bottle was disgorged August 2, 2008. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2010. Boulard is a small producer with holdings across a number of villages. The wines are made in a natural, non-interventionalist style, both in the vineyards and in the cellar.
