A discussion of botrytis prompted Jeandeau to open a bottle of his 2013 Viré-Clessé, a wine that included some 10% to 15% noble rot. With its aromas of musky peach and honeycomb, it's certainly an outlier in his portfolio, but it's drinking very well. Medium to full-bodied, it's satiny and textural but bright and saline.
