Clean, classic and mid-weight aromas and flavors of blackberry, raspberry, spring flowers and powdered rock, the 2011 Saint Joseph Clos de Cuminaille is medium-bodied, juicy and nicely focused. It’s a classic Syrah to drink over the coming 5-7 years.
This was a large lineup by producer Pierre Gaillard. The wines all have a classic, fresh and focused feel, and certainly, those looking for big textures and loads of fruit should look elsewhere.
