Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2009 Bobbie Burns Shiraz gives pronounced notes of fresh blackberries and mulberries with some dark plums and an undercurrent of Mediterranean herbs. Full bodied with a medium level of soft tannins and medium-high acid, it has plenty of ripe if straightforward flavor, finishing long with lingering dried herb notes. Drink this one now through 2014. The Rutherglen fortified wines are stored in seasoned 450 liter oak casks and a solera system is used to mature the wines. The age of the wines varies from 5- 25 years on average.Importer: Click Wine Group, Seattle, WA; tel. (800) 859-0689
