The 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon Neoma's Vineyard (150 cases) is a noteworthy wine. Made from 38-year old vines with yields of under 2 tons per acre, this wine exhibits a saturated black/purple color, and textbook jammy cassis aromas intermingled with minerals, tobacco, and licorice scents. Extremely full-bodied, with phenomenal concentration, this wine reveals the tell-tale characteristics of the finest 1996s - low acidity, ripe tannin, and drop-dead levels of extract and nearly overripe fruit.
