The 1996 Hermitage blanc was closed when I tasted it. A blend of 70% Marsanne and 30% Roussanne, aged half in barrique and half in tank before being blended, it is a medium-bodied, fresh, citrusy white Hermitage with floral notes in the nose, and crisp, tangy acidity.
