The 2014 Chardonnay Sweet Water, which again is from old Wente, is one of the fullest of the wines, with terrific fruit intensity, crisp acids, and a full-bodied nose of white peach, pineapple, honeysuckle, caramelized citrus and delicate oak. All of these single vineyard wines see one-third to 40% new oak, but none of it is noticeable in the wines.
