The stunning 1998 Hermitage Le Miaux is a black/purple-colored wine, aged in 100% new oak, yet the fruit and concentration have brilliantly soaked up the wood. Blackberry/cassis fruit flavors are most prevalent in the nose. In the mouth, there is a creamy texture, full body, and outstanding purity. The oak, tannin, and acidity are beautifully knit with the wine's concentration and fruit. Anticipated maturity: 2002-2020.
