Tasted at the Comte Liger-Belair vertical at the Chateau de Vosne. The 2012 Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Suchots has a complex bouquet with broody dark berry fruit, hints of iodine and blueberry, and undercurrent of mineralité that comes through on the 2013. The palate is medium-bodied with fine, supple tannin. There is still a scintilla of oak to be integrated but that will be soaked up with time since there is impressive substance and drive on the finish. Afford this 8 to 10 years in the cellar. Tasted June 2015.
