The 2012 Givry 1er Cru La Grande Berge showed a little better in Burgundy than it did in London. It has that cedar-infused bouquet with a more tertiary aspect than I have noticed before. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, a vivacious Givry with a linear, poised finish. Drink now-2018.
For a background to this reliable Givry producer, please refer to my write up of 2012 in issue 211.
No known US importer but available through OW Loeb in the UK.
