This is a pure expression of Nebbiolo made from vines that are 25 years old or younger. Two-thirds of the fruit comes from the Pira vineyard in Barbaresco and one-third comes from Pajè in Barbaresco. The Roagna 2014 Langhe Rosso is a very enjoyable wine, with ample softness and accessibility rolled into plump cherry, cassis and blackberry. The wine offers soft tannins and a good amount of primary freshness to maintain momentum on the palate and on the senses. With 800 12-bottle cases produced, this is a terrific value option for your next meal of agnolotti, or meat-stuffed pasta.
