The Calathus wines are produced by Finca Don Carlos. The 2008 Calathus Malbec is dark ruby red with a pleasant nose of cedar, spice box, mineral, and black cherry. On the palate it is a bit one-dimensional but has good depth, structure, and balance. Drink this slightly austere Malbec over the next 6-8 years.
