The 2015 Sicilia Adènzia is a blend of Nero d'Avola and Syrah in equal parts. I've always liked this combination of these two like-minded grapes. Both offer robust fruit intensity with soft, mellow tannins. The bouquet is saddled with lots of ripe, black fruit with lingering tones of smoke, spice, resin and sweet tobacco. This is a full-bodied Sicilian red to drink with spicy or barbecued meat dishes. Bottle production is 39,570 strong.
