Naturally fermented in older French oak barrels, the 2009 Section 94 Sauvignon Blanc spent 18 months in oak. It offers roasted almond and fresh baguette notes over a core of warm grapefruit, passion fruit and apricots plus hints of fennel and cedar. Medium bodied and with a great backbone of very crisp acid, it presents a mouth-filling, seriously concentrated tropical and toast flavors with a long savory finish. Delicious now, it should age gracefully and cellar to 2016+.
