Inky ruby color. High-pitched black raspberry, boysenberry and cherry aromas are complemented by suggestions of potpourri, olive, licorice and allspice. Silky and expansive on the palate, offering spice- and mineral-tinged red/blue fruit and violet pastille flavors that show sharp delineation and strong back-end thrust. Lively and seamless in texture, finishing with superb, mineral drive and harmonious, slow-building tannins. This fruit comes from 80-year old vines in Corps du Loup, in the C?te Blonde and at the very southern end of the appellation. (all whole clusters; aged in neutral barriques for 20 months)
