The 2020 Two Blondes Vineyard is a blend of Merlot with 28% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc and 11% Malbec. The nose is dark-fruited with a fresh, ripe mineral essence and notions of rose, dusty cherries and hints of black plums. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is firm, balanced and fresh, with fantastic action across the mid-palate, offering focus and finesse with a brilliant floral and mineral tension. The wine concludes with a juicy and long finish and will be delightfully fresh and food-friendly once released.

Elegant with a dusty floral and oaky essence, the 2019 Two Blondes Vineyard is plummy in nature with aromas of red cherry skin and black raspberry and hints of popcorn kernel and vanilla that waft from the glass. Full-bodied, precise and focused, the wine shows nuances of baking spices on the palate along with a balanced structure of succulent tannins and energetic acidity. Concluding with a long, lingering finish, this fantastic wine continues to evolve in the mouth with persistent flavors of sweet oak and ripe, fleshy red and black fruit essence. With a compact nose of dark red, dusty fruits that sachet out of the glass with elegance and finesse, the 2017 Two Blondes Vineyard is seamless and full of complexity. Medium-bodied, the wine achieves a depth of flavor without being overly generous. The mouthfeel is impeccably balanced with energetic acidity and lifting tannins to compound the complexity and longevity. Flavors of dark plum and dark cherry linger on the long, drawn-out finish along with soft red flowers, hints of graphite and dried herbs. It’s nimble on the palate and will be amazing with food.

A blend of 60% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, 16 % Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Malbec, the 2016 Two Blondes Vineyard is mainly red-fruited with a core of softer expressions, more delicate than the other red bottlings in the range. The florals and spices are elevated here with velvety, ripe red fruits on the medium to full-bodied palate, with a fresh, tart line that runs through the center and on to the finish. The wine has a long, delicate finish that wears its finesse seductively and pleasingly. Yum! 477 cases made.

The 2015 Two Blondes Vineyard is superb, wafting from the glass with a rich bouquet of blackberries, mulberries, minty cassis and dried flowers, with only subtle hints of the dark chocolate and spice that I suspect will become more pronounced with bottle age. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, ample and generous, with a lavish core of ripe, succulent fruit framed by fine-grained tannins, concluding with a long, tangy finish. This is a giving, sun-kissed rendition of Two Blondes that avoids any of the aggressive structure found in some of the state's 2015 Bordeaux blends, and it will likely drink well with only three or four years of bottle age. The 2015 is a blend of 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 17% Cabernet Franc and 17% Malbec.
