The 2008 Coma d’en Romeu is a blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 20% Garnacha, 20% Syrah, and 20% Merlot aged in barrel for 16 months. It offers up notes of mineral, Asian spices, incense, black cherry, and blueberry setting the stage for a slightly austere, compact wine that is in need of a fruit infusion. Drink it over the near term while it retains what fruit it has.
