No such questions exist about the 2007 Summit Reserve, a beautiful, but limited production blend of 75% Merlot and 25% Cabernet Franc. It reveals complex notes of cedarwood, cocoa, coffee beans, black currants, cherries, and chocolate. This dense ruby/purple-tinged, spicy, rich, full-bodied wine will not hit its prime for another 1-3 years, and should keep for 15+. I have been impressed with Audelssa’s wines since their first vintage debuted less than a decade ago. All the fruit comes primarily from the steep, western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, and the winery is equally talented whether it’s turning out Bordeaux varietals such as Cabernet Sauvignon, or unleashing some complex, delicious Rhone Rangers.Tel.
