This formidable wine is among the superstars of the 1995 vintage. This wine is a powerhouse, but exhibits remarkable symmetry for its massive size. The color is saturated purple, and the wine possesses fabulously sweet blackberry, blueberry, and cassis aromas nicely dosed with subtle, toasty oak. Thick, juicy, and full-bodied, with outstanding purity, and admirably integrated acidity, tannin, and alcohol, this stunningly proportioned Cabernet Sauvignon possesses sweet tannin and low acidity, giving it up-front appeal. However, all the component parts are present for 15-20 years of cellaring.Readers may remember the ecstatic reviews I gave previous releases from Behrens and Hitchcock last year.
