The 2019 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Riserva Anrar offers depth and careful sophistication with dark fruit, scorched earth, tar and licorice. The wine treads softly over the palate with concentrated fruit and delicate oak. You could hold this bottle or drink it now. Only 5,000 bottles were made.

The 2017 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Riserva Anrar opens to spicy dark fruit with crushed flowers, aniseed, blood orange and cured tobacco. This Riserva is stacked tall in terms of aromas, with depth and pretty freshness to boot. This is a mid-weight expression that ushers forth great length, precision and varietal purity. With just 5,000 bottles made, the vines are planted in calcareous-rich soils with layers of reddish clay at a cooling 470 meters above sea level.

This is a truly beautiful, profound and graceful expression from the far north of Italy. The 2016 Alto Adige Pinot Noir Riserva Anrar (with only 4,000 bottles made) is a wine of majesty and personality, with varietally pure aromas of wild berry, candied cherry, lavender, blue flower, licorice, moist earth, cola and dried orange peel. You could add more adjectives to that list of descriptors, serving only to underline the complexity and depth of this wine. This vintage is uniquely fine-tuned and precise, with a medium-bodied mouth that is long in persistence and flavor retention.
