This is one of the most impressive wines I have tasted from the Cotes du Bourg. Readers should note that this is a special bottling made primarily from the estate's richest cuvees of Cabernet Sauvignon. It is also aged in a high percentage of new oak casks. The wine reveals a dense, ruby/purple color, a spicy, vanilla, and cassis-scented nose, medium to full body, excellent concentration, and a soft, lightly tannic finish.
