Gilette is a specialty of the Medeville family and the only Sauternes to undergo at least fifteen years' aging in small tanks, then five years' aging in the bottle before release for sale, This unique technique uses a lengthy reduction process to con¬centrate the wine's natural fruitiness and bring out its citrus notes. The result is a wine that is practically immortal. Fabulously complex nose, stupendous length, and a naturally high alcohol content make this Preignac Sauternes a gourmet's delight.
