The 2010 Disparates de Goya Macabeo was macerated sur lie in new American oak for 30 days. Notions of marzipan and tropical fruits set the stage for a lively, spicy, well- balanced wine that will provide enjoyment for another 1-2 years. Grandes Vinos y Vinedos is a large cooperative in the DO of Carinena, a region which I visited in 2011. Once neglected, it is now producing numerous excellent value priced wines from the old vines that are being revitalized. The entry-level wines go by the Beso de Vino designation.
