The 2009 Cotes du Rhone-Villages Cairanne La Cigalette (a blend of 60% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Mourvedre and 5% Carignan) offers copious aromas of wild strawberry and berry fruit intertwined with underbrush characteristics, medium body and a spicy personality. Enjoy it over the next 2-3 years. I also tasted an amazing white wine from Domaine de Dionysos, but at $45 a bottle, it was too expensive to be included in this report (however, if readers see a bottle of the 2007 La Deveze made from 100% Grenache Gris, they should not hesitate to purchase it).Importer: Serge Dore Selections, Chappaqua, NY; tel.
