Another outstanding value as well as an outstanding wine, is the 2010 Red, which is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre, Carignan and Cinsault. A melange of red and blue fruits, along with loamy soil notes, tobacco leaf and Provencal herbs all jump from the glass of this front end-loaded, perfumed wine. The 2010 White, which comes from Vermentino, Grenache Blanc, Bourboulenc and Roussanne aged in tank, is crisp and fresh, with notes of citrus and hints of orange peel and lemon zest. The 2009 Costieres de Nimes blanc is a blend of 50% Grenache Blanc, 40% Vermentino (called Rolle in this area) and the rest miscellaneous grapes. Fresh, lively and light-bodied, it offers hints of poached pears and Thai lemon grass. Drink it over the next year.
